The Moderator of the AJIPT is the Superior General and his Council. The responsibilities shall be:

• To nominate the Director and permanent and non-permanent teachers;
• To receive the profession of faith;
• To confer/revoke the canonical mission upon delegation by the Grand chancellor;
• To communicate information and reports to the office of the affiliated institutes of the PUU;
• To present the proposal to erect the Institute to the Faculty of Philosophy and Theology of the PUU
• The Moderator of the AJIPT is the Superior General have an oversight on the integrity and quality of the Courses taught and the doctrinal and moral soundness of the Lecturers teaching them;
• To promote a dynamic assimilation between theology and pastoral care, between faith and life in the formation of the students.
